This is sea moss in its rawest form. It is pulled out of the ocean and dried to preserve all its natural vitamins and minerals for up to a year in this form.
HOW TO PREPARE: YIELDS 4-6 16oz jars
1. Soak your sea moss in spring water for about 24 hours. This will make it double in size, so you only need a palm size amount to make a 16 ounce jar. (Other options include alkaline water, lime water, or any other type you choose to use)
2. Finger through your soaked sea moss to clean it. It should not be super dirty, but you may find some particles to pull away from time to time.
3. Blend your sea moss in a blender. Start with a small amount of water and then add as you go for desired thickness. More water will make it thinner. It’s easier to add water than to take away. You want a “creamy, yet pourable” consistency. Not too thick and not too thin, of course it’s up to you.
4. Refrigerate for up to 4-6 weeks in a glass jar with lid.
**You can also make the whole batch and share jars with family and friends. Add some natural fruit if you choose.
